I enjoyed this honest self-reflection and I’m happy I found your Substack. I enjoyed your books years ago. Many of us have this tendency with our kids - to take over. I think it’s especially hard to step back when you have had to defend and advocate for your child due to a learning difference. Dyslexic kids (and adults) have so much to offer, they are classic outside-the-box thinkers that should be admired!
