Hi, I love this piece about asparagus. It's one of my favorite veggies too! I have read your books and love following you on your journey wherever you are in France. ♥ : )

Merci! And what a journey it's been - 22 years this month. Older, wiser, tastier...

Hi Liz. I'm so glad you and your son are doing well (and I get it; my kids have gone through a lot of testing, too).

I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your writing, it's a lovely bit of sunshine in my inbox. Take care!

It's so good to hear from you. We really need to get together one of these trips. My 50th birthday present to myself is going to be to see more people I miss. xx

So true! There’s no need to tart up lovely veggies.

Happy to hear that your writing is going well. May your readers look forward to a new book soon? 🤞🙏

This is so lovely - I have a son with learning disabilities who is also at a wonderful small school with teachers who encourage and empower him to come up with creative solutions and it has made all the difference for him over the past 3 school years. It's exciting to see him grow! Signed, a fellow recovering control freak :)

Indeed, we recovering control freaks are a large cohort! But the kids have such fabulous inner resources, if given the time and encouragement to find them!

I am following your son's art - he is a brilliant artist - in so many mediums! I can't believe he is 14 - his eye is so sophisticated! A great talent!!!👏👏👏

He loves your comments! I'm constantly amazed by what he creates - I'm a critic, no artistic talent whatsoever, don't know how he gets it from his eye to the page...

This is brilliant! Cheers to a simple dish. Your zest is prettier than my lemon zest, but the asparagus tongs are even more enviable. Keep the stories and recipes coming! And love that your threw a statue in here!

Any excuse to show off the asparagus tongs! This is the tool that makes the pretty lemon zest - also great for martinis!
